Chris Anderson’s Firearms Training
FREE Youth Firearm Safety and Shooting Workshop. Ages 6-16
Youth Gun Safety Course is an introduction to safe firearms handling that outlines what to do when a child finds a firearm or their friend is playing with one, how to safety resolve situations involving firearms, and finally how to operate and safely shoot a 22 caliber rifle.
Our workshop provides a positive experience for youth and promotes the safe and ethical use of firearms. It is our belief that firearms education reduces gun accidents.
Students will be given gun safety, basic firearms knowledge and marksmanship training. While this class does involve shooting, it is more focused on safety and situational awareness with firearms than it is a shooting course. Our most important goal is for everyone to have a safe, positive and exciting learning and shooting experience.
To allow for maximum shooting activity, each Intro Camp is limited to 10 participants. The cost is FREE. Class will start at 10 am & length may be adjusted based upon children’s ages and the number of students.
Our program is valuable for helping young people develop self-confidence, personal discipline, responsibility, teamwork, self esteem and sportsmanship. The discipline and self-control required for responsible firearms use carries over into many other aspects of life.
The camp includes class materials, the use of a rifle, eye and ear protection, ammo and targets.
We require all students to pre-register. Registration closes 24-hours prior to each workshop. We cannot permit “walk-in’s” for this workshop. A parent or legal guardian must be present during the entire workshop.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
